Shauna Bennett
Assistant Teaching Professor
Shauna M. Bennett, Ph.D. is a member of the teaching faculty in the Department of Biology at Georgetown University. She teaches foundational biology courses such as Foundations of Biology I, laboratory courses in Biochemistry and Genetics, science-for-all courses including Biology of Viruses, and upper-level courses such as Communicating Science. She is passionate about creating and leading opportunities that engage undergraduate students in authentic research experiences and support career development. Dr. Bennett earned her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and completed her postdoctoral training at The Scripps Research Institute.
